Standard package:

For easy transportation and handling, about 50-70 sheets are tightened/rolled by plastic staps into one bundle. This bundle is weighted around 70 – 80 kgs.

Minimum order quantity:

Minimum a bundle of 20 kgs per size. Similar to the other film and paper insulation items, we sell this pressboard by kilograms, we do not sell these in metres or in sheets. The reason is that depending on the thickness and the formulation of the paper, the standard grammage density may vary. This means a 1.00 mm sheet is heavier than a 0.80 mm sheet even though they have the exact same sheet dimension.

Cutting service:

We can cut (slit) the products using a specialised cutting machine as required. Please send pictures of finished products and cut specifications for further advice. Learn more >

Outer appearance:

This product is supplied in dark red-coloured sheets (in contrast to the bright vivid red can be found in Red Steel Pressboard). Flat and smooth surface. Easily bendable and perforated without any cracking.

Application:

To use as insulations material in Power and Distribution Transformers. It is the base material for components like corrugated boards, cylinders, rings and mouldable parts.

Due to its high chemical purity, pressboard is excellently suited as an insulation material in electric machines, capacitors and oil-filled transformers.

Further processing is ensured since the pressboard can be punched, folded, cut and formed without difficulty.
