Our Enamelled Aluminium Wire is made of high-quality aluminium with a smooth surface, no defects. It has good performance insulation enamel and polyester. Enamelled aluminium wire is easier to be coiled than enamelled copper wire because it has a solid layer of oxidation film resulting in better insulation and longer life length. Typical application includes usage in transformers, generators, refrigerating systems, thermal resistance motors and UPS power sources.
It has good heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, transformer oil resistance, low-temperature resistance radiation resistance, good stability and good mechanical properties. Our diameter range is from 0.40 mm to 2.80 mm. Its colour is light brown slash purplish with smooth and bright appearance, free from lacquer wart.
Enamelled Copper Clad Aluminium Wire (ECCA) has good solderability like pure copper wire. The biggest advantage of ECCA compared to the copper wire is its lightweight feature. The copper/aluminium construction was adopted to avoid some of the issues pertaining to enamelled aluminium wire, yet retain some of the cost advantages. It is three times as light as copper wire. And it also has higher heat resistance compared to copper wire according to NEMA.
